Apr 14, 2020 · Original Linksys firmware does not offer this functionality - but with just a few extra steps, you can work around it. Enjoy VPN services on your router by installing custom firmware that supports OpenVPN protocol like DD-WRT or Tomato. When I plug in the new E1200 and go to the web interface, all I get is a screen that says I have to install the software from the CD. I’m going to try contacting Linksys again to see if there is a way around the install problem.
